The textured surface of this mat makes it a poor changing mat because it does not wipe easily. It's also a pain to roll up and tie to store. I did find a use for it though. It is a rubbery, cushy surface and used as a simple mat for saving my knees while bathing baby its actually pretty good. I still place a towel down for extra padding but this and the towel I will use to dry off baby work great.
